Yardi Integration: “Invalid Credentials” Error May Be a Base URL Issue
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Summary
When setting up the Yardi integration in Propexo, you may see an “Invalid credentials” error even though your username and password are correct. Yardi can return this same error when the base URL is wrong, so the message is often misleading.
Resolution
Check the base URL first. Confirm the base URL entered in Propexo matches the one provided for your Yardi instance.
Look for common mistakes:
- Typos or missing characters
- Missing or extra trailing slash
- http instead of https
- A test or staging URL used in place of production (or the reverse)
- The Yardi web login page address used instead of the integration/API endpoint
- Extra spaces at the beginning or end
Confirm the URL with your Yardi administrator or Yardi support if you’re unsure.
Retry the connection with the corrected URL.
If the error persists, verify the username, password, database/platform name, any required server or entity values, and that the account has integration permissions.
Tip for Support Teams
When a customer reports “Invalid credentials” on Yardi setup, ask for the base URL before asking them to reset credentials.
Still Need Help?
Contact Propexo Support with the base URL you entered (never your password), the approximate time of the failed attempt, and a screenshot of the error.
