Why am I missing residents on my Yardi integration?

Last updated: April 28, 2026

If certain residents aren't appearing in your Yardi integration, this is likely due to the default filtering criteria applied by the Yardi API. This article explains which residents are returned by default and how to adjust this behavior if needed.

Default Filtering Behavior

Default Filtering Behavior

Propexo uses Yardi's GetResidentsByDate call to sync resident data. By default, this call only returns residents who have been modified within the last 2 days.

If you have requested to use the legacy GetResidents method instead, the following filtering criteria apply:

  1. MoveOutDate is greater than or equal to the date specified in the filter (by default, one year prior to the request date), AND

  2. MoveInDate is prior to today's date

What This Means for Your Data

Because of the second condition above, future residents will not be synced from Yardi to the Propexo endpoints by default. Any resident whose MoveInDate is scheduled for a future date will be excluded from the standard sync.

Similarly, residents whose MoveOutDate falls more than one year before the request date will not be returned by a regular sync, only a backsync.

Syncing Future Residents

If you would like future residents included in your sync, please contact Propexo Support and we can enable this for your account.
